Join us Sunday, May 3rd for a Fun Run & Festival in support of our Financial Aid Program!
Family Fun Run: Check in opens at 10, races begin at 10:30
With distances of 1/4 mile to 5K, this Fun Run is for everyone from the earliest walkers to the seasoned pros. Day of registration available for all runs. Each run begins at the Susie Stephens Trail across from Little Star, with a special prize for the first 200 to register!
Spring Festival: 11:00-1:00
Games, food, cake walk, music, & more! Bring your friends and family and play & picnic on Little Star’s beautiful campus. Food for sale by Lucky Grouse, and enter our raffle to win a stay and dinner for 2 at Casia Lodge!
What is the Financial Aid Fund?
Little Star strives to serve all families in our community with high quality early learning opportunities. We work hard to keep our programs accessible through our need-based financial aid program. We budget over $125,000 a year to support families, and typically 25-30% of our student population receives assistance each year. Our tuition covers only 80% of our operating expenses, so our financial aid program is fully funded through generous donations from our community. Together, we can make Little Star accessible to all!

The fine print!
By registering for and participating in the Little Star Fun Run and Spring Festival (the Fun Run), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following for yourself and for any children under 18 that are participating in the Fun Run that you are the parent/legal guardian of:
I know that participating in the Little Star Fun Run and Spring Festival is a potentially hazardous activity and I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able. I acknowledge and assume any and all risks associated with this event including, but not limited to, traffic on the course route, falls, contact with other participants, and the condition of the course, including, but not limited to, curbs, cars, uneven pavement, potholes, rocks, and objects on the course surface. I will assume full responsibility for any children I am registering for the Fun Run, and will supervise them continuously during the Fun Run and Festival. I recognize this event is not part of Little Star’s licensed programming, and there are no teachers, childcare providers, or volunteers on hand that will provide supervision of my children during the Fun Run.
Knowing and appreciating these risks and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, representatives or anyone else claiming on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release, and discharge Little Star School-Montessori, its staff and volunteers, and anyone else acting for or on behalf of the Fun Run from any and all claims of liability for death, personal injury, or damage of any kind arising out of my or my children’s participation in this run. This Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability extends to all claims of every kind whatsoever. I also consent to emergency treatment in the event of injury or illness.
I recognize that Little Star School-Montessori will be taking photographs and videos of the event, and I grant Little Star permission to use these for marketing purposes unless I inform a Little Star administrator otherwise in writing.
FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: PARENT OR GUARDIAN’S AUTHORIZATION FOR MEDICAL CARE AND CONSENT AGREEMENT. I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of any children I am registering for the Fun Run. On behalf of myself and my spouse, partner, co-guardian or any other person who claims the participant as a dependent, I have read the above agreement, I understand the contents of this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability, and assent to its terms and conditions. I acknowledge that my dependent and I have agreed to the terms and conditions of my dependent’s participation in the Fun Run, and I hereby give my consent to participation by my dependent, and to receive medical treatment determined to be necessary. I further agree to hold harmless, indemnify and defend Little Star School-Montessori from and against all claims, demands or suits that my dependent has or may have.
